In Genesis 30:1-21 we have a competition going between Leah and Rachael. Jacob gets caught in the middle. Whenever we deal with things in envy we will end up suffering like Rachael. Even though there seems to be a lot of flesh going on in this story, God still blesses all involved. Too often we deal with things in the flesh. Keep God first in all we do and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts. In His Service Pastor Mark Lewis |

In Genesis 29:15-35 we see the craftiness of Laban, by keeping back things he should have given to Jacob, like tricking Jacob into marrying the older daughter first. So Jacob does and then ends up with Leah also. We all know payback is a hard lesson, and that's what Jacob is getting here. Even though it seems bad on Jacob, Leah seems to be the one who gets hit the hardest. And even that turns out for the good. Remember what Paul said in the book of 1st Corinthians, "Judge nothing before it's time." In His Service, Pastor Mark Lewis Memory Verse: 1st Corinthians 4:5 |

My name is Mark Lewis. I was born in 1952. My wife’s name is Christina. We have been married since 1986. We have 4 children, and 4 grandchildren. We have been saved since 1985. I have been a Pastor at Free Indeed Christian Fellowship since 1994; 9 years as an assistant to Pastor Mike Lewis (who went to be with the Lord on September 22, 2003).
Through that very hard time in my life I became the senior Pastor of the church my brother Pastor Mike and myself love. Our vision is reaching people for Christ, discipling, and helping the needy people of our community and our church. Matt 25:35-36 For I was hungry, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. |
