In Genesis 30:1-21 we have a competition going between Leah and Rachael. Jacob gets caught in the middle. Whenever we deal with things in envy we will end up suffering like Rachael. Even though there seems to be a lot of flesh going on in this story, God still blesses all involved. Too often we deal with things in the flesh. Keep God first in all we do and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts. In His Service Pastor Mark Lewis |

In Genesis 29:15-35 we see the craftiness of Laban, by keeping back things he should have given to Jacob, like tricking Jacob into marrying the older daughter first. So Jacob does and then ends up with Leah also. We all know payback is a hard lesson, and that's what Jacob is getting here. Even though it seems bad on Jacob, Leah seems to be the one who gets hit the hardest. And even that turns out for the good. Remember what Paul said in the book of 1st Corinthians, "Judge nothing before it's time." In His Service, Pastor Mark Lewis Memory Verse: 1st Corinthians 4:5 |

We will be in genesis 29:1-15. Jacob reaches Haran after a 2 week journey. Remember the first night of his trip he met with the Lord. This is a good practice to follow. The Lord guides Jacob's steps right to Rachael, his future wife. But Jacob would never have met her if he hadn't taken the time and talk to his neighbor. We get in too big of a hurry today, tell someone about Jesus. Anyway, Jacob ends up at Laban's house where he will meet his match. IN HIS SERVICE PASTOR MARK LEWIS MEMORY VERSE: ROMANS 13:9 |

This is the last we here of Issac and Rebekah. They will send Jacob off to uncle Laban's and from then on the story will be about Jacob. This will be Jacobs first night away from home by himself and we will see that he is not really alone at all. The Lord is with him and He is with us also. In our loneliest times always remember the Lord said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." When Laban realizes that God is in this place, he builds an alter and worships, something we should do everyday, worship that is. IN HIS SERVICE PASTOR MARK LEWIS MEMORY VERSE: ISA 41:10 |

Today we will be in Genesis 27:30-46. Because of Rebekah's decision to deceive Issac, she is now having to work overtime behind the scene to save her favorite son Jacob form being killed by Esau. She thinks she will send him off for a little while until things cool off and then he can return. But she will never see Jacob again. He will stay with his uncle Laban for 20 Yrs. Rebekah is reaping what she has sown and Jacob will do the same. In His Service Pastor Mark Lewis Memory Verse: Galatians 6:7 |
